Hurricane Dorian has severely impacted two islands of The Bahamas—Grand Bahama and Abaco. As part of relief efforts to aid our friends and partners in The Bahamas, Tropic Ocean Airways has partnered with Blue Tide Marine, Discovery Land Company Foundation, Global Empowerment Mission, and The Bahamian Government to offer assistance. RELIEF UPDATES

As of September 13, 2019, we have successfully helped communities across these two islands.

196,150 Pounds of Relief Aid Delivered:

• 118,950 Tropic Ocean Airways / Blue Tide Marine / Skydive Suffolk
• 49,200 pounds through our Delta partnership
• 28,000 National Airlines / Wheels Up partnership
• *An additional 120,000 pounds of supplies are in the process of being delivered

859 People Evacuated:

• 359 Tropic Ocean Airways / Blue Tide Marine
• 500 through our Delta partnership

Medical:

• Medical patients treated: 28
• MEDEVACs: 4
• Clinics surveyed: 7

CURRENT STATUS OF RELIEF OPERATIONS

Tropic Ocean Airways and Blue Tide Marine have provided relief/evacuated people from the following communities:

West End, Freeport, Treasure Cay, Marsh Harbour, Green Turtle, Spanish Cay, Sandy Point, Elbow Cay/Hope Town, Lubbers Cay, Man-O-war, Scotland Cay, Moores island, Fox Town, Cedar Harbour, Guana Cay, Coopers town, The farm, Blackwood village, Crown Haven

We are beginning phase two which involves direct missions to communities in hard to reach areas (small barrier islands or areas where roads are impassable) focusing on gathering up-to-date intelligence, distributing relief supplies, and assisting with planning of rebuilding efforts.

DONATION FACILITATION

Tropic Ocean Airways has also partnered with the  Discovery Land Company Foundation and Global Empowerment Mission (both are 501 C(3) non-profits) to facilitate donations for all efforts. Tropic Ocean Airways will be accepting supplies including water, food, medicine, chain saws, generators, etc.
