My wife and I love Bimini. We had seen Tropic Ocean Airways several times on our visits and decided to give it a try. My wife loves to fly so this was a blast for her. On the trip out of Ft Lauderdale is was flawless. We were greeted with friendly faces. The station was clean and very nice. The plane was on time. The flight crew was knowledgeable and the flight itself was smooth. The views are amazing especially coming into Bimini. The flight out was not exactly as we had hoped. We had to fly out of South Bimini from a runway. Everything was very organized. The lady at the check-in in N. Bimini was not friendly (I don't believe she works for Tropic Ocean). They took us on a ferry to S. Bimini which was cool considering we had never done this. The van to the airport was on time and clean. The airport in S. Bimini is very small and is undergoing a lot of renovations. The people that work in S. Bimini airport were less than friendly but the Tropic Ocean flight crew was very friendly and was quick to get us up in the air. I only gave it 4 stars as my wife and I were slightly upset that we were not able to take off from N. Bimini. Having taken off from N. Bimini we would have taken off on the water which would have been a huge thrill for my wife. We later found out that we got bumped over to S. Bimini because of our flight size. We are looking at the other locations that they fly. Pro tip if you take the flight you bypass 90% of the crowds at customs both coming and going. This gives you hours of your vacation back which to me is priceless.
A wonderful round trip with Tropic Ocean Air! The team at the front desk couldn’t have been more welcoming and accommodating! Their email team is also very attentive and helpful! I had my dog with me and the check in staff was super accommodating as well as the pilots! It was my first time flying tropic and definitely not my last! Thanks again for everything!
When the flights for our mission trip were suddenly cancelled, Tropic Ocean Airways stepped up and accommodated our group. Because of them, we were still able to keep our original itinerary. Friendly crews, attentive staff, and overall a wonderful experience!

Tropic Ocean Airways came through for us when another airline let us down. They made our trip from Fort Lauderdale to Bimini smooth at a time of stress and kept us well informed about what was going on during some bad weather that caused delays. It felt very much like a concierge service. The staff was great at the FBO, the aircraft was newer and the trip over in a seaplane is like no other trip I’ve been on. We were tied up in the Bahamas next to the Bahamian customs and immigration office where it felt like they were there just for the five of us that flew over. Within five minutes of getting off the plane, we were free to explore the island and check into our hotel. I also loved how the two pilots from TOA had a great relationship with the local customs and immigration personnel. It’s a trip that I won’t forget. Thank you for helping us and not taking advantage of our situation. We will be back! Much appreciated.
We love flying TOA to/from Fort Lauderdale, FL and Nassau, Bahamas. We love that we can also take our dog on the flight. Highly recommend!

A wonderful way to travel!! Adds another dimension to your vacation in the Bahamas starting with the most accommodating staff, all excellent crews and the views are great... sometimes of large yachts, cruise ships and rainbows. We've flown several trips between Fort Lauderdale and Bimini and have surprised our guests as well with round trips. All have loved the flights.

I loved the personalized flight experience. The staff are very friendly, professional and helpful. No walking longs distances through big busy airports with crowds.
This is the best way to get from Fort Lauderdale to Bimini, aside from my own yacht (which only exists in my dreams). The planes are comfortable enough, the pilots (always two of them!) are professional and friendly, and the convenience is second to none. Also, you can’t beat landing at a dock, no line for customs, and literally walk to your hotel (or catch a comp shuttle). Drawbacks: (1) the airline was not particularly friendly when covid restrictions caused me to cancel a flight…I eventually lost an entire ticket with no credit; (2) if you have a fear of flying, the smaller planes can be a little intimidating (although I don’t have that fear, so I enjoy “feeling” the flight); (3) if you pack heavy, you’ll need to rethink that or pay extra (if they have can accept extra weight). But overall, this is the way to go!
Great staff, aircrafts are well maintained and in good condition. Pilots are good and flights are quick and smooth. I'd fly Tropic over their competitors.

Lauderdale, but after a short wait he found us a small weather window and we made it safely to Bimini! Although it was a little bumpy, we felt absolutely safe!
