Our Fleet

Tropic Ocean Airways operates a fleet of Cessna Caravans on Wipline amphibious floats.

The CESSNA CARAVAN aircraft is known for its rugged utility and flexibility. With its powerful turboprop engine, the Caravan aircraft delivers the rare combination of high performance, low operating costs and ability to adapt to a wide variety of missions.

Tropic is proud to exclusively operate Wipline floats, by Wipaire. Wipaire’s worldwide reputation and 55 years of experience building a wide range of floats ensure that both pilots and customers are in good hands.

Fleet Maintenance

Our fleet of airplanes receive daily care in-house. And, rather than outsource maintenance, all servicing is performed under the direct supervision of our Director of Maintenance, an Air Force veteran with more than 30 years of experience.

Pilot Training

We foster a culture of professionalism and leadership and train pilots of all skill sets and flight time. We fly with an FAA-approved, two-pilot crew as an added safety measure, which also gives our junior pilots more experience as they fly with our captains.
